Service Technician Intern

Position Summary: Innovative Computer Systems is a growing
technology services firm with a rapidly expanding client base.
The firm is a leader in providing technology infrastructure and
systems for small to mid-sized businesses in Northern New
Jersey. Must be available Tuesdays and Thursdays between the
hours of 8:30 and 5:30. Flexible for other days during the week.
Innovative Computer Systems is currently seeking a college
student with the ability to troubleshoot issues and an
internship requirement as part of their curriculum.
The ideal candidate will be pursuing a college degree in IT /
MIS or a related discipline. This position offers an aggressive
hourly compensation and excellent work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Resolve hardware break-fix issues, network connectivity and
application related questions for third party products
2. Escalates or perform support functions, particularly related
to resolving issues at the desktop as well as TCP/IP
connectivity and IP set-ups
3. Telephone support (with and without remote control
applications)
4. Responsible for effective call processing and escalation of
reported problems
5. Communicates with peers and management, regarding support
issues
CRITICAL POSITION ATTRIBUTES:
1. Skilled with the PC hardware & software found on Desktop PC
computers and laptops
2. Good communication
3. Patience
4. Troubleshooting skills
5. Analytical skills
6. Consistent work ethic
7. Ability to handle multiple requests / projects at once and
prioritize
8. Good organizational skills
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
1. High School Degree
2. Currently pursuing BS in IT / IS Administration or similar
field
